Saw this few weeks back and thought it would make a good print and save. What better ways to spend those long summer days than out in the street with home-made chalk.

We recently approached Oisin McGrath's mummy about holding the School's Out 4 Summer disco in aid of the Oisin McGrath Foundation.
The recent passing of Oisin broke so many hearts and not just those who were honoured enough to know him, but everyone! School children who knew him or knew of him were hit hard, loss is something that when we are young, we associate with the old, not the young and certainly not your school friend. It touched the heart of all parents out there who pray they are never in that predicament, none of us could even imagine what his family were going through. So, when the disco was being planned my son asked me could we do it for Oisin, and to be honest it seemed only natural that we did, Oisin was a big part of our community. So, once agreed the wheels were set in motion, posters printed and we co-ordinated the areas we wanted to attract guests from in South Fermanagh. So Tuesday afternoon my son and I set of to beautiful Belleek. I village that brings back fond memories of being a little girl on holiday with my family. The first shop we went to was Gilmartin's The Craft Shop. I'd had the pleasure of meeting Pauline at a networking tweet meet at Lough Erne cakes (another blog for another time) and thought no better reason than to start there. The shop is beautiful! took me back to the days in my grannies kitchen and the beautiful Irish dresser. They have the most stunning Irish gifts for all occasions. So why blog a day delivering posters you say! That day my heart was melted by human kindness. After giving the posterto Pauline, Pauline told me to wait while she got me a voucher for the foundation. I hadn't asked, I didn't even mention it, it was offered without a thought! and it quickly became apparent it wasn't about having met me, it was about Oisin. It was Oisin's story that compelled her to give the gift and the beautiful heart in which she held Oisin's story. I don't know about you but I think we find it much easier to complain, than to stand up and compliment or commend people. Its very easy to loose faith in humanity in this world we live in today. But today my faith was restored! I left that shop with my heart beaming and a smile from ear to ear. Don't get me wrong I'm not looking for donations or prizes from everyone I am just as grateful to the other businesses who have take posters and flyers. On that note I would like to thank The Thatch Coffee Shop, Belleek Newsagent and Post Office, K. McGovern Meats, McDonnell Meats and Centra Belleek who all took posters and flyers. Without these posters we would not be able get the numbers we would like for the event. But a special thank you to Gilmartins who made my heart SMILE!
