First of many!
This Saturday saw the start of Musik2K's residency as part of Designer Party's Evening Entertainment. Whilst working on event nights ahead, we felt a good opening night would be a request night to get people interacting, and we were not wrong.
We had a great night, the guests got involved 110% and picked some great tunes! So we thought we'd share some of them with you too!
Atmosphere was great and the craic was mighty. Be sure to like The Well Bars's Facebook page for more information on future events and we look forward to seeing you there next time.

Saw this few weeks back and thought it would make a good print and save. What better ways to spend those long summer days than out in the street with home-made chalk.
Get creative and Enjoy! Ta Ta For Now ~ Gayle We recently approached Oisin McGrath's mummy about holding the School's Out 4 Summer disco in aid of the Oisin McGrath Foundation.
The recent passing of Oisin broke so many hearts and not just those who were honoured enough to know him, but everyone! School children who knew him or knew of him were hit hard, loss is something that when we are young, we associate with the old, not the young and certainly not your school friend. It touched the heart of all parents out there who pray they are never in that predicament, none of us could even imagine what his family were going through. So, when the disco was being planned my son asked me could we do it for Oisin, and to be honest it seemed only natural that we did, Oisin was a big part of our community. So, once agreed the wheels were set in motion, posters printed and we co-ordinated the areas we wanted to attract guests from in South Fermanagh. So Tuesday afternoon my son and I set of to beautiful Belleek. I village that brings back fond memories of being a little girl on holiday with my family. The first shop we went to was Gilmartin's The Craft Shop. I'd had the pleasure of meeting Pauline at a networking tweet meet at Lough Erne cakes (another blog for another time) and thought no better reason than to start there. The shop is beautiful! took me back to the days in my grannies kitchen and the beautiful Irish dresser. They have the most stunning Irish gifts for all occasions. So why blog a day delivering posters you say! That day my heart was melted by human kindness. After giving the posterto Pauline, Pauline told me to wait while she got me a voucher for the foundation. I hadn't asked, I didn't even mention it, it was offered without a thought! and it quickly became apparent it wasn't about having met me, it was about Oisin. It was Oisin's story that compelled her to give the gift and the beautiful heart in which she held Oisin's story. I don't know about you but I think we find it much easier to complain, than to stand up and compliment or commend people. Its very easy to loose faith in humanity in this world we live in today. But today my faith was restored! I left that shop with my heart beaming and a smile from ear to ear. Don't get me wrong I'm not looking for donations or prizes from everyone I am just as grateful to the other businesses who have take posters and flyers. On that note I would like to thank The Thatch Coffee Shop, Belleek Newsagent and Post Office, K. McGovern Meats, McDonnell Meats and Centra Belleek who all took posters and flyers. Without these posters we would not be able get the numbers we would like for the event. But a special thank you to Gilmartins who made my heart SMILE! Ta Ta For Now ~ Gayle Over the last few months we've had the pleasure of working with mummies on new personalised themes for their special birthday party. We were approached back in March to do a football themed party for a football crazy boy. For the colouring competition we developed a 'Design a Kit' competition which went down a treat and of course the winner received a prize. All games were themed to their favourite football team and the loot prizes supplied were also football themed. The games were a mix of sporty team games as well as calm post food games. The games are suited to both boys and girls whether they are football crazy or not, they will be enjoyed by all. We finished the off the party with the disco and our signature certificates, personalised for the event using tailored awards including our 'Man of the Party' award. If you wanted you could apply a dress code and ask guests to attend in football kits or sports clothes. As with all parties we supply in the price. Personalised 'Colour-In' invites for upto 20 guests. We can now bring this theme to you for your Designer Party or, like this mummy did, ask and we can create one for your special day.
I have to admit I love to grab any opportunity to get together with the boys and spend quality time, creating memories. To be honest is were the passion for Designer Parties truly came from. The idea of making memories, for and with other parents, who wouldn't normally know where to start. Easter in my house isn't just chocolate eggs, far from it, it's arts and crafts, books and games, nature walks and egg hunts. It's all about "us" and "making memories". So, with this in mind we thought we'd throw a party locally. Who knows? Maybe next year we might hit every village in Fermanagh, but alas, for now it's just Belcoo. It's going to be a tickets only event, as we can only invite 25 people. I wish we could sell more but unfortunately we have professional standards to comply to. This year we have decided to make this a non-profit party to give local parents the opportunity to see us in action. We can't promise the same for next year but I'm sure you will agree after this year's that it's certainly worth it. The event will start with an Easter Bunny Mask Craft session. Followed by the Easter bunny parade were the children get to show of their creations and their best bouncing bunny moves. Even better the best bunnies will receive a prize. Afterwards we invite to to look after your 'hatchlings' and peek 'down the rabbit hole' you never know, you might win a prize playing our Easter themed games. All this certainly makes for thirsty work so we'll stop for tea and treats, before finishing with our 'Bunny Bop'. Then, if all that wasn't enough through the event we will have glitter tattoos and balloon twisting available. The event is best suited for 4-8 year olds, but its open to all children under 11, on a first come, first served basis. Under three's will be accommodated but require a responsible adult to stay with them. The under three's will have a separate agenda for the event as they will not be able to take part in the main body of the event. So, How do I get a ticket, I hear you ask. Simple, click here and fill in the form and we'll get back to you to arrange your chosen payment & ticket delivery method. Yes its that simple. Once you've booked and paid you will receive a personalised invite for the event. It's very important you look after your ticket. You'll need it to get in. If your interested in joining our mailing list for up to date promotions and event. Fill in your details below. Don't worry we won't spam you and you are always free to stop your subscription whenever you want. Hopefully see you at the Eggstra-special Easter Bunny Bop.
Throughout March we are holding Face Painty session's at Designer Party HQ.
At the sessions children can get there face painted for £1 :) The event times and dates are available on our facebook page and facebook event. We do recommend you book so you know you are not waiting but isn't compulsory. Photographs maybe taken at the event and used for publicity purposes. You may be asked if we can use your photograph but we will only use photograph if permission is given in writing. Next event 2pm - 5pm ~ Saturday 8th March For information feel free to contact us... Hopefully see you there... |
